This year IBPS Clerk Mains Exam is of Moderate to Difficult level. Pattern is totally changed as compared to previous year and candidates faced difficulty to solve questions especially in Reasoning and English section because of sectional time limit and also due to complex and lengthy questions.

a) Circular Puzzle with Blood Relation ( 8 People )

English Language: Difficult
Reading Comprehension – 2 passage (20 Question) [Based on Economy]
Fillers – 5 Question
Sentence Correction – 10 Question
Rest Question related to Para jumble, Errors.

 
Quantitative Aptitude: Moderate
Number Series – 5 Question
Data Interpretation – 2 sets: 10 Questions [Tabular DI and Line Graph]
Quadratic Equation – 5 Questions
Data Sufficiency – 5 Question
Rest Miscellaneous –  20 Questions (Ages, Average, Ratio, Time and work, Profit and loss, Simple Interest, Time and distance etc.)

 
Note: No Simplification asked.
 
Computer Knowledge: Easy
In this section questions were related to computer networking, internet, input and output devices, Generation and history of computers etc.
 
General Awareness: Easy-Moderate
In General Awareness Section questions were mostly came from banking, finance and Current Affairs of last 5-6 months.
 
Note: Cut off will be State wise in IBPS Clerk as per vacancies published by IBPS for CWE Clerk VI.

IBPS Clerk Prelims 2016 : 26th November, Slot I

As aware First shift of today’s Exam is over . A lot of students have appeared for their preliminary exam today (26th November, 2016).

IBPS PO MAIN Exam 2016 Analysis – 20 November 2016

Hello Readers,

IBPS PO Main 2016 Exam today took place in one shift only. If we talk about the overall paper, it was moderate to difficult and yes this year also the pattern of exam was somewhat changed by IBPS. It removed some questions like quadratic equations, inequalities in reasoning section, etc. It added new type of question pattern in Quant, Reasoning and English section.

Quant Section:-
Quant section was fine this time also like last year. Unlike last year, the section included approximations questions also.
Data Interpretation (Pie chart, tabular missing, line, caselet) – 4 sets (5 questions each) – 2 easy, 2 not that easy
Number series – 5 questions (asked to find wrong number in series)
Approximation– 5 questions (easy)
Inequalities (given some data and and 2 quantiites and asked to find if quantity I greater or lesser than quantity II)– 5 questions (moderate)
Questions from other topics including Partnership, Time and Work, SI/CI, Averages, Boat n Stream, Ages, Profit/Loss, Mixture n Alligation, Probability – 15 questions (easy to moderate)

Reasoning Section:-
Reasoning section was too time consuming. There were no inequalities questions. Blood relation was there but that too in linear arrangement. The section contained 4 puzzles. There was no input/output question.

Syllogism – 4 direct questions, and in 2 questions conclusion was given and statements were to be found. (moderate)
Direction sense – 5 questions (easy)
Coding/Decoding – 5 questions
Puzzles n Arrangements – 4 sets (20 questions)
Critical Reasoning (probable reason, weak argument, etc) – 10 questions (easy to moderate)
Miscellaneous – 4 questions

English Section:-
English section was difficult. It contained same pattern as that in SBI PO Main 2016 Exam.
Reading Comprehension – 2 passages (7 questions each)
Fill sentences – 4 questions
Which sentence does not give idea about main theme – 4 questions
Which given sentence is correct grammatically and makes sense – 5 questions
Sentence Improvement – 5 questions
Synonyms/Antonyms (Direct) – 5 questions
Choose from given options the starting of sentence – 3 questions

General Awareness Section:-
General Awareness section was moderate. The static GK questions were also from places and people who were in news in past 2-3 months. The current affairs were also 2-3 months old. The section also included knowledge of banking.

Computer Section:-
Computer section was not easy this time. Many students attempted 10-12 questions in this section.

IBPS RRBs Clerk Prelims 2016: Exam Analysis - 12th November 2016

Dear Candidates,
 
As the Day 1 of RRB Clerk prelims is over and as always we are here with the analysis direct from the center. We have seen that many students are afraid and tensed as this is the first time RRB is conducting prelims with all new pattern. Without wasting any moment, let's get straight to the analysis which you all are interested in. There are only two Sections in IBPS RRB clerk Prelims exam namely Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude. IBPS RRB Prelims Paper of clerk Contains 80 questions of 80 marks with a time duration of 45 minutes. There were 40 questions in each sections.
 
Overall Analysis:
As per the inputs shared by many students, the overall level of paper can be considered Easy to Moderate. The students have attempted quite decent number of questions and again, the Time Management, played an important role in the exam. Let us look at the below table to have a look:

Reasoning Ability:  
The Reasoning was Moderate. The questions were asked from various topics and students have reported that it was difficult to maintain the composure. The only relief was the less number of puzzle questions.

IBPS RRB Officer Scale I Preliminary Exam Analysis – 04 Nov 2016

Today is the first day of IBPS RRB Officer Scale I Prelim exam 2016. This is the first time that RRBs conducted Prelim exam, so pattern could not be expected before. Unlike PO exam, there are only 2 sections in RRB Prelim exam. The overall exam was easy to moderate. The cutoff will be different for different states according to vacancies which cannot be predicted. So let’s see today’s exam analysis also. This section was time consuming with 3 puzzles. There were no coding decoding questions so there are chances that it will be asked in main exam.
