SSC CHSL Tier II consists of a descriptive test where candidates are given questions to write an essay and Letter/Application to examine the writing skills of the candidates. After qualifying SBI PO Prelims one can appear in the SBI PO Mains exam. It comprises of two levels:
Objective Exam will carry 200 marks and Descriptive Test will carry 50 marks. Both these tests will be held online. Candidates have to answer Descriptive test by typing on Computer.The descriptive test will be carried out after completing the objective test.
I. Objective Test: The objective test comprises of 4 sections with a maximum time limit of 3 hours duration. It carries a maximum score of 200. The objective test has sectional timings. In order to qualify this test cone should score cut-off marks as decided by the Bank examining the body.

The descriptive test will be conducted for a maximum duration of 30 minutes carrying 50 marks. It is a written test of English Language where a candidate has to write Essay and Letters. Aspirants have to qualify Descriptive Test by scoring cut-off as decided by the bank authorities.
Aspirants qualifying in both the tests i.e. Objective and Descriptive, merit list will be set in descending order of their aggregate marks. This list will be developed category-wise with consequent cut-off decided thereon.
The adequate number of candidates in each category, as decided by the Bank will get a call for Group Exercises and Interview. The cutoff or qualifying marks in Group Exercises &Interview will be as determined by the Bank.
Candidates under 'OBC' category should submit OBC Certificate with the 'Non Creamy layer' clause at the time of Group Exercise and Interview. In case they are not in a position to produce the same they will not be interviewed in General Category.

Language Proficiency Test (LPT) – Candidates who will be conditionally selected from the on-line examination needs to undertake a language proficiency test (LPT). The language proficiency test will be held in the Official / Local Language of the State concerned. Candidate who will not be expert in the Official/Local Language would be disqualified
