Descriptive Test:

It is a subjective test to analyze the language proficiency of the aspirants. It carries 25 marks for 30 minutes duration where a candidate will be given questions on letter writing and Essay.

Note –

  • Please make a note that marks obtained by the aspirants in the Main examination will short-list him or her for the third phase i.e Interview and finally for the qualifying merit list.
  • IBPS will adopt negative marking for every wrong answer in both Preliminary and Main Examination. Each mistake will be penalized with .25 marks.

Exam Pattern of SSC CHSL Tier-II

SSC CHSL Tier-II is held in a descriptive mode where a candidate is given a test to ensure his or her writing skills in English/Hindi. The paper comprises of an Essay of 200-250 words and Letter/Application writing of about 150-200 words. The minimum marks to ace SSC CHSL TIER II are 33 percent of the total marks allotted. Total marks allotted are 100 and the time duration is 60 minutes. The level of the questions is 10th standard. The duration of time for candidates with disabilities is extended up to 80 minutes.

Syllabus of SSC CHSL Tier II

SSC CHSL Tier II consists of a descriptive test where candidates are given questions to write an essay and Letter/Application to examine the writing skills of the candidates. The essay topics which are generally asked to write are National Interest, Finance & Economy, Ecological Issues, Politics, Social Issues, Schemes & Governance, Sports, Technology, Geopolitics, Environmental Concerns etc. While, the type of letter/ application asked will be Application, Complaint, Suggestion, Official Appreciation, Follow up or Feedback etc.

SSC CHSL Tier III Syllabus

Tier-III of SSC CHSL is a Skill/ Typing Test which is a qualifying test. The final rank of the selected candidates will be primed on the basis of total score obtained in Tier-I and Tier-II.

Skill test for the post of Data Entry Operator:

In this test, a candidate must possess a data entry speed of 8,000 (eight thousand) Key Depressions per hour.

Time limit given to the Test is 15 minutes and English document having about 2000-2200 strokes/key-depressions is given to type.

Eligibility Criteria for SSC CHSL

SBI PO Mains Exam Pattern

After qualifying SBI PO Prelims one can appear in the SBI PO Mains exam. It comprises of two levels:

  1. Objective Exam
  2.  Descriptive Exam

Objective Exam will carry 200 marks and Descriptive Test will carry 50 marks. Both these tests will be held online. Candidates have to answer Descriptive test by typing on Computer.The descriptive test will be carried out after completing the objective test.

I. Objective Test: The objective test comprises of 4 sections with a maximum time limit of 3 hours duration. It carries a maximum score of 200. The objective test has sectional timings. In order to qualify this test cone should score cut-off marks as decided by the Bank examining the body.

Descriptive Test: 

The descriptive test will be conducted for a maximum duration of 30 minutes carrying 50 marks. It is a written test of English Language where a candidate has to write Essay and Letters. Aspirants have to qualify Descriptive Test by scoring cut-off as decided by the bank authorities.

SBI PO Interview

Aspirants qualifying in both the tests i.e. Objective and Descriptive, merit list will be set in descending order of their aggregate marks. This list will be developed category-wise with consequent cut-off decided thereon.

The adequate number of candidates in each category, as decided by the Bank will get a call for Group Exercises and Interview. The cutoff or qualifying marks in Group Exercises &Interview will be as determined by the Bank.

Candidates under 'OBC' category should submit OBC Certificate with the 'Non Creamy layer' clause at the time of Group Exercise and Interview. In case they are not in a position to produce the same they will not be interviewed in General Category.

About RRBs

Indian Railways is one of the largest railway systems in the world. It is divided into 16 zones headed by a General Manager. Every zone is separated into various divisions and each division is headed by a Divisional Railway Manager.

RRB conducts competitive exam to fill up the requisite vacancies of Railway Department from time to time. These boards are associated with the Government of India. RRB is divided into 21 boards spread all over India to hold exams for various posts which are divided into four groups as:

PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TESTS (PET):Candidates who will qualify in CBT will be allowed to appear for PET. It is compulsory to qualify PET as it is a qualifying test for the posts notified by RRBs.Negative Marking: CBT has negative marking where a penalty of 1/3rd of the marks will be marked for each wrong answer.

Note: Differently abled Candidates will not be allowed to appear in PET. These candidates have to overgo medical examination according to their respective Disabilities.
