Exam Pattern of SBI PO 2018-19

The SBI PO preliminary examination will be conducted online having a duration of one hour. It will have three sections with 100 questions in total with a maximum score of 100 marks.

SBI PO Mains Exam Pattern

After qualifying SBI PO Prelims one can appear in the SBI PO Mains exam. It comprises of two levels:

  1. Objective Exam
    2. Descriptive Exam

Objective Exam will carry 200 marks and Descriptive Test will carry 50 marks. Both these tests will be held online. Candidates have to answer Descriptive test by typing on Computer.The descriptive test will be carried out after completing the objective test.

  1. Objective Test: The objective test comprises of 4 sections with a maximum time limit of 3 hours duration. It carries a maximum score of 200. The objective test has sectional timings. In order to qualify this test cone should score cut-off marks as decided by the Bank examining the body.

  1. Descriptive Test: 

The descriptive test will be conducted for a maximum duration of 30 minutes carrying 50 marks. It is a written test of English Language where a candidate has to write Essay and Letters. Aspirants have to qualify Descriptive Test by scoring cut-off as decided by the bank authorities.

SBI PO Interview

The candidates who will qualify for both the tests i.e. Objective and Descriptive will be called for Interview. The merit list will be arranged in descending order of the total marks scored by them. This list will be prepared category-wise with consequent cut-off decided thereon.

The number of candidates in each category, as decided by the Bank will be called for Group Exercises and Interview. The cut - off or qualifying marks in Group Exercises and Interview will be as per the decision made by the Bank examining authorities.

Candidates under 'OBC' category require submitting OBC Certificate containing the 'Non-Creamy layer' clause. It has to be submitted at the time of Group Exercise and Interview. In case anyone is not able to submit the same, they will not be interviewed in General Category.

SBI Clerk 2018 Exam Pattern:

SBI Clerk Exam consists of two stages of examination in such as Phase I and Phase II.
 
Phase I Exam is a preliminary examination which is held online consisting of 3 sections of one hour duration. The total marks fixed for the test will be 100. SBI Clerk 2018 Exam will have a sectional time limit in which need a professional training and extensive practice before the exam.

Descriptive Test:

It is a subjective test to evaluate the language ability of the aspirants. It is of 25 marks with duration of 30 minutes Candidates will be given questions on letter writing and Essay.

Note –

  • Please note that the marks obtained by the aspirants in the Main examination will enable to short-list him or her for the third phase i.e Interview and finally to qualify in the merit list.
  • IBPS will follow negative marking for every wrong answer in both Preliminary and Main Examination. Each mistake there will be a deduction of .25 marks.

Exam Pattern of SSC CHSL Tier-II

SSC CHSL Tier-II is conducted in a descriptive mode where a candidate is given a test analyze his or her writing skills in English/Hindi. The paper includes an Essay of 200-250 words and Letter/Application writing of about 150-200 words. The minimum marks to qualify SSC CHSL TIER II are 33 percent of the total marks allotted. Maximum marks allotted are 100 and the time duration is 60 minutes. The level of the questions is based on 10th standard. The duration of time for candidates with disabilities is extended up to 80 minutes.

Syllabus of SSC CHSL Tier II

SSC CHSL Tier II comprises of a descriptive test where candidates are given questions to write an essay and Letter/Application to analyze the writing skills of the candidates. The essay topics which are usually asked to write are National Interest, Finance & Economy, Ecological Issues, Politics, Social Issues, Schemes & Governance, Sports, Technology, Geopolitics, Environmental Concerns etc. While, the type of letter/ application asked will be Application, Complaint, Suggestion, Official Appreciation, Follow up or Feedback etc.

SSC CHSL Tier III Syllabus

Tier-III of SSC CHSL comprises of Skill/ Typing Test which is a qualifying test. The final position of the selected candidates will be prepared on the basis of total score obtained in Tier-I and Tier-II.

Skill test for the post of Data Entry Operator:

In this test, a candidate must have a data entry speed of 8,000 (eight thousand) Key Depressions per hour.

Time limit given to the Test is 15 minutes and English document having about 2000-2200 strokes/key-depressions is given to type.

Eligibility Criteria for SSC CHSL

Candidate qualified for the SSC CHSL must have obtained the minimum age limits as proclaimed by SSC for different posts. He or she must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.
