SSC CGL 2021 Notification Out on 29th December
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the SSC CGL 2021 Notification in December last year. SSC is an autonomous body conducting various government job exams for years. SSC Combined Graduate Level (SSC CGL 2021) exam is conducted in order to fill 6506 vacancies in Grade B and C in various Government Ministries and Departments. SSC CGL Exam Dates 2021

SSC CGL 2021 Selection Process
Every year Staff Selection Commission (SSC) carries out the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) exam in four levels for various posts. SSC CGL selection process is explained below:

Candidates who have applied for SSC CGL 2021 exam, will be allotted a Roll number and Admit Card to appear in the Computer Based Examination (Tier-I). The time limit for the examination of Tier-I is 60 minutes.

SSC CGL Tier-I date will be out and candidates will be called to appear in the exam.

Those candidates who will qualify Tier-I will be called for the Tier-II and Tier-III phase of the SSC CGL Examination.

SSC will announce separate cut-offs for Paper-III of Tier-II. Paper III is mandatory for the candidates who have applied for the post of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO). Paper-IV of Tier-II is mandatory for the posts of Assistant Audit Officer and Assistant Accounts Officer. Paper-I and Paper-II of Tier-II are common for all the posts offered in SSC CGL 2021 EXAM.

SSC CGL Tier-IV is a computer-based test that is held in two phases: DEST Test & CPT Test. Here are the details of these two exams:

SSC CGL 2021 Marking Scheme

Normalization: In case the multiple shifts of the SSC CGL 2021 exam have some variations in the difficulty level then normalization will be implemented on the basis of marks scored in Tier-I and Tier-II. Normalization done through this process will be treated as the final score and the results will be prepared on the basis of those marks.

SSC Tier I and Tier II follow negative marking for every wrong answer by deducting 0.50 marks as a penalty for every mistake. It does not have a sectional cut-off. No marks will be deducted for any unattempted question or in case it is left blank.

SSC CGL Tier III is a descriptive test which is a language proficiency test. It is conducted in English/Hindi medium comprising 100 marks. The maximum time allotted to attempt the exam is one hour.

SSC CGL Tier-IV Exam is a skill test to examine the Computer application skills of the candidates who have qualified for all the required phases. Computer Test will be held in two phases: DEST Test & CPT Test.
SSC CGL 2021 Resolution of Tie Cases
In case there is a tie in the scores of the aspirants in all the Tiers of the examination, the examining body of SSC will decide the tie-breaker using the following conditions:
1. Marks scored in Tier-II Examination.
2.Marks scored in Tier-III Examination
3. Marks scored in Tier-I Examination.
4. To consider the date of birth, taking the older candidate to be placed higher.
5. To take the alphabetical order where the first names of the candidates emerge.
SSC CGL 2021 Latest Changes
Here is the list of amendments suggested in the SSC CGL 2021 Notification by the Staff Selection Commission:
1. Candidates must score minimum qualifying marks in Tier -I, Tier II, and Tier III Examination. The category-wise marks to be scored are given below:
UR: 30%
OBC/ EWS : 25%
Others: 20%
2. Candidates qualifying Tier-I will be allowed to appear in Tier-II and Tier-III Examinations.
3. SSC CGL Tier-II comprises of Paper-I and Paper-II
4. Candidates shortlisted in Tier-II for the posts of JSO/ Statistical Investigator and Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer will be eligible to take Paper-III and Paper-IV correspondingly.
5. The exam date for Tier-2 & Tier-3 will be notified later on, initially, it used to be declared in the notification itself.
6. Only for those candidates who had Qualified Tier-II, Tier-III sheet will be assessed.
7. Candidates who have qualified all the Tiers of SSC CGL EXAM will be called for the Document Verification and Skill Tests i.e. Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) and Data Entry Skill Test (DEST).
8. Skill Tests are obligatory but qualifying in nature. In case a candidate does not appear in Skill Test or fails to qualify for the Skill Test, he/ she will not be applicable for the posts where CPT/ DEST is obligatory.
9. Qualified candidates will be given the preference of posts online before processing for Document Verification.

SSC CGL 2021 Exam Centers
The candidates are allowed to choose three centers of their choice while filling the form. The Staff Selection Commission will try to allocate the exam center according to candidate preference. Follow these steps to apply for SSC CGL online:

First of all, log in to the official website http://ssc.nic.in

Register as a new user at the website which can be created by using a valid email ID and phone number. You will get the OTP for the required ID you want to generate for the SSC portal.

After you click on the Apply button, you will get the application form, fill it online.

You need to have the scanned copies of the recent passport size photograph, signature, and thumb impression to fill the application.

You can pay the application fee online or through a Challan which will be generated after you have filled in the required application for SSC CGL 2020-21 Exam.

After registration click on the Apply button to get the application submitted to the portal.

Then click on the Submit button after cross-checking the details or else you will not be able to make any changes afterward.

SSC CGL 2021 Document Verification
The documents are required at the time of online application submission and final verification. The candidates must have a hard copy of online submitted documents at the time of final verification. Staff Selection Commission will call the qualified students for the document verification process after the completion of the exam process. The candidates must have their Matriculation Certificate, Graduation Certificate, Caste certificate(if filled), and other relevant documents. A) Yes, the aspirants in the final year of graduation can apply but they have to present their bachelor’s degree at the time of document verification.

A) There will be a negative marking of 0.5 for each wrong answer in Tier-I. In Tier-II, there is a negative marking system of 0.25 for each wrong answer in Paper-II - English Language & Comprehension and 0.50 for each wrong answer in Paper-I, Paper III, and Paper IV of Tier II.
