About AFCAT 2021 Exam
The Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) is governed by the Indian Air Force. The exam is conducted twice a year in February and August/September, respectively to choose Class-I Gazetted officers in flying and Ground Duties (Technical and Non-Technical). AFCAT is a doorway for both male and female aspirants who yearn to join the Indian Air Force for Short Service Commission in Flying Branch as well as Permanent Commission /Short Service Commission in Ground duties for Technical and Non-Technical roles.
Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the Online Exam and Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) interview. Candidates who go for the Ground Duty (Technical) branches are required to appear in both AFCAT and Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT).
AFCAT 2021 Notification
Indian Air Force had invited Applications for Men and Women from Indian citizens according to the citizenship Act 1995 to join the Indian Air force as Commission Officers in Flying and Ground duty for both Technical and Non-Technical Branches.
The registration process was started on 1st December 2020 and ended on 30th December 2020. The Online application process was done through https://careerindianairforce.cdac.in Or https://afcat.cdac.in. After the Registration process was over applicants were invited for the correction on January 18, 2021, through the AFCAT Correction window.
IAF has announced the exam date for AFCAT 2021 Exam in its official notification. According to the latest updates, AFCAT 2021 exam is scheduled to be held on February 20,21, and 22, 2021. AFCAT 2021 Application Fee
The application fee for the applicants for the AFCAT exam is Rs. 250/-. Candidates can choose any mode of payment such as a Credit card, Debit card, or Net Banking in order to pay the application fee of the AFCAT 2021 exam.
AFCAT 2021 Eligibilty Criteria
The eligibility criteria of AFCAT 2021 for Ground Duty and Flying Branch is given below:

Note:
1. In case the candidates applying for these posts are below the age of 25 years should be unmarried at the time of the beginning of the course.
2. Candidates who are found married as of the date of his application but have qualified SSB or medical will not be entitled to training.
3. In case someone marries during the training period will be discharged from the training with the condition to deposit the expenditure made by IAF for the training.
4. Widows/Widowers and divorcees (with or without encumbrances) below the age of 25 years are also not eligible.
5. Married candidates are allowed to take the training in case they are above the age of 25 years but they will not be given any accommodation to live nor they can live with their family members.

AFCAT 2021 Selection Process
The AFCAT is held in three stages. Candidates have to make sure to qualify each stage for the next stage. Given Below is the list of stages conducted in the AFCAT Selection Procedure.
1.Online AFCAT Test- The Primary stage for the selection of Candidates in the Indian Air Force is through the AFCAT Online Examination. For both technical and nontechnical streams, candidates will have to appear for the AFCAT (Air Force Common Admission Test) which will be held for 300 marks. The Candidates who apply only for the technical branch will have to appear for the EKT(Engineering Knowledge Test) which will be conducted for 150 marks.
2.SSB/AFSB Interview- After successfully qualifying for the Online examination, candidates will be called for the AFSB(Air Force Selection Boards) interview or SSB.This stage has two more stages as it is conducted for 5 days. Both the stages are explained below:
Stage-1:
It Includes the following two tests:
1.Officer Intelligence Rating Tests.
2.Picture Perception and Discussion Test (PP & DT)
Stage 1 is called screening tests and candidates who do not clear it will be rejected and will not be called for AFSB Stage-2.
Stage-2:
All Stage-1 Qualified Candidates will have to appear for AFSB Stage-2 and undergo the following tests:
1. Psychological Test: These are the written psychological tests and are conducted by Professional psychologists
2. Group Tests: These tests involve mental and Physical activities to examine the candidates on various mental and physical parameters.
3. AFSB Interview: In this round, the interviewing officer takes a personal round of Interview for the candidate.
4. Computerised Pilot Selection System (CPSS) Test: This test is Mandatory for only those candidates who have applied for the Flying Branch.
3.Medical Examination
Recommended Candidates will be called for the medical examination. The Indian Airforce has prescribed only two centers for Medical Examination which are the Institute of Aviation Medicine, Bengaluru, and Air Force Centre Medical Establishment (AFCME). After the Medical Examination,a final merit list would be prepared on the basis of the Marks scored by the Candidate in written and AFSB Interview. All the Shortlisted Candidates would be given the joining letter of the respective training academies they have applied.

On reaching the final year of training cadets will be entitled to a stipend of Rs.56,100.

After successfully completing the training, the young Air officers will be given level 10 ranging from 56,100 to 1,77,500 it is the Payscale of Seventh Pay Commission that will be allotted to the young Air Officers.

Military Service Pay-15,500 will also be corporated.

For Technical Branch Officers: Rs 2500 per month.
In Addition to these officers are also authorized to other allowances such as TA, DA, Children Education Allowance, Ration Money Allowance, etc.
AFCAT 2021 Admit Card
Every Candidate who registers for the AFCAT exam within the stipulated time will be assigned an e-Admit card/hall ticket/call letter. The candidates can download the admit card from the official website. Usually, the admit card for the AFCAT Exam is released before 10 days of the exam.
AFCAT 2021 Results
The result of AFCAT has been announced on March 9,2021.Aspirants can visit the website and login into the account through the email ID and password and captcha code to know the result. Based on the performance in the wriiten exam,candidates have been shortlisted for Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) interview.
