Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will released the SSC Stenographer Grade C & D 2020 notification in September 2020 on its official website- ssc.nic.in. Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website on or before October 2020.
SSC Steno recruitment will be done through online mode only. Eligible and interested can apply for SSC Steno Jobs 2020 on SSC Website, once the official notification is released.

The salary structure of SSC Stenographer Grade ‘C’ is Pay Scale- Rs. 9300-34800, Grade Pay - 4200/- (Pay Band 2)
SSC Stenographer Grade C & D Salary Structure 2020
The salary structure of SSC Stenographer Grade ‘D’ is Pay Scale- Rs. 5200-20200, Grade Pay - 2400/- (Pay Band 1)
Aspirants of SSC Stenographer 2020 will have to fulfill certain eligibility requirements to successfully fill the application form.
Education Qualification(As on 01.01.2020)
- Candidates must have passed 10+2 or any equivalent exam from a recognized board or university.
- Candidates appearing in the final year from the Board/University to prove the same can also apply for the exam.

Candidates belonging to any of the following nationalities can apply for SSC Stenographer 2020:
- Indian citizen
- Citizen of Nepal
- Citizen of Bhutan
- Tibetan refugee, only if they come with the intention to stay in India

Age Limit(As on 01.01.2020)
- The age of the candidate must be between 18 to 30 years for Grade-B and between 18 to 27 years for Grade-C.
- Candidates belonging to the reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PH/Ex-Servicemen, Central Government Employees, and J&K domiciled candidates) can avail age relaxation as per the Government of India.

- Candidates who opt to take the Stenography Test in Hindi will be required to learn English Stenography and vice versa after their appointment, failing which their probation may not be cleared by appointing departments. Candidates have to work as English/ Hindi stenographers as per the functional requirement of the User Office irrespective of the medium of Skill Test of candidate during the examination.
- The skill test will be held at the Commission’s Regional/ Sub Regional Offices or at other Centre(s) as may be decided by the Commission.
- Detailed instructions regarding Skill Test will be sent by the concerned Regional/ Sub Regional Offices of the Commission to the candidates called for the Skill Test.

SSC Stenographer C & D Interview Details
There is no interview conducted for SSC Stenographer Exam. It has objective and descriptive exam pattern. On the basis of the same merit is generated and the candidates who successfully clear all the phases are appointed for the post in the requisite Government Department or Ministry.

The Application Fee for SSC Stenographer 2019 is Rs. 100/-(for General and OBC). Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD/Ex-servicemen category as well as female candidates are exempted from paying the application fee for SSC Stenographer 2019.
The admit card for SSC Stenographer 2020 will be released after the application process for the same has ended. The admit card for SSC Stenographer 2020 Skill Test will be issued to candidates who qualify the CBT exam of SSC Stenographer 2020 Exam.

SSC Stenographer C & D Final Answer Key Out
Final Answer Key for SSC Stenographer 'C' & 'D' examination has been released by the Staff Selection Commission on its official website on 26th March 2021. Those Candidates who appeared for the examinations are requested to visit ssc.nic.in and check the answer key. With the final answer key, SSC has also released the question paper.
SSC Stenographer 'C' & 'D' 2018 Revised Final Result
The final result of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’ Examination 2018 declared by the Staff Selection Commission on 28.11.2020. In the said result, 473 candidates were provisionally selected for Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and 991 Candidates were provisionally selected for Stenographer Grade ‘D’. Some of the aspirants put objections with respect to inconsistency in the final result of the examination. Some issues in the final result were reported by the Central Region of SSC. The commission examined these issues and corrective action has been taken and the final result of 19 candidates has now been revised.

Ans12. Yes, you are eligible for this exam. But your eligibility is subjected to the condition that if called for the interview, you will have to show certificate of graduation examination on or before a specified date mentioned in the official notice.

Ans13. With SSC Stenographer Admit Card, you can carry any one of your ID proof such as Passport, Aadhar card, Driving license, PAN card with a photo attested.

Ans14. Yes, you can apply for both the posts. However, make sure that you mention the appropriate preference of post/department, as your preference will be considered FINAL and IRREVERSIBLE during the selection process. Moreover, the commission makes the final allotment of post based on the merit preference of Post/ Departments given by the candidates and no change is considered or made by the commission.

Ans15. Yes, the written exam can be given in Hindi and English except for Part III (which has English and Comprehension).
Q16. What is the SSC Stenographer Marking Scheme?
Ans16. Given below is the marking scheme that has been set currently by the SSC for Stenographer post:
- Total Questions Asked: 200
- Marks allotted for correct response: 1
- Marks deducted for incorrect response: 0.25(mark deduction)
- Marks deduction for not attempted: NIL Marking
Q17. What is the Tie-Breaking criterion, in case I have the same marks as some other candidate?
Ans17. The following scheme will be applicable in case of any clash:
- Candidate with higher marks in Part I of written exam is given higher marks if the tie persists then;
- Candidate’s date of birth is considered i.e. older candidate is preferred first, but if the tie still exists;
- Alphabetical order of the name of a candidate is the final decisive criteria.
