SBI PO Exam Pattern

SBI PO selection is held in three phases (Preliminary, Mains and Group Exercise/Interview). The candidates need to score the cut-off level to succeed in all the three phases to crack the exam.

SBI PO Prelims Exam Pattern

The SBI PO preliminary examination has three sections with time duration of one hour. It has 100 questions in total with a maximum score of 100 marks.

SBI PO Mains Exam Pattern

SBI PO Mains exam consits of 2 levels:

  1. Objective Exam
  2. Descriptive Exam

Objective Exam consists of 200 marks and Descriptive Test consists of 50 marks. Both these tests will be held online. Candidates have to answer Descriptive test by typing on Computer. Descriptive test will be held after carrying out the objective test.

  1. Objective Test: The objective test will have time duration of 3 hours with 4 Sections with the maximum score of 200 marks. The objective test will follow sectional timings. In order to ace the exam aspirants have to score cut-off marks as decided by the Bank examining body.

2. Descriptive Test: 

The descriptive test will observe time duration of 30 minutes having 50 marks. It is a written test of English Language where aspirants will be asked to write an Essay and a Letter. Aspirants should qualify Descriptive Test by scoring cut-off as decided by the bank examining body.

SBI PO Interview

The candidates who will qualify both the tests i.e. Objective and Descriptive, merit list will be arranged in downward order of their summative marks. This list will be prepared category-wise with consequent cut-off as decided.

The adequate number of candidates in each category, as decided by the Bank will be shortlisted and called for Group Exercises and Interview. The qualifying marks in Group Exercises &Interview will be as determined by the Bank.

Aspirants who are under 'OBC' category must present OBC Certificate with the 'Non Creamy layer' clause at the time of Group Exercise and Interview. In case they are not in a position to present the same they will not be interviewed in General Category.

Descriptive Test:

Exam Pattern of SSC CHSL Tier-II

SSC CHSL Tier-II is held in a descriptive mode where a individual is given a test analyze his or her writing skills in English/Hindi. Syllabus of SSC CHSL Tier II

SSC CHSL Tier II consists of a descriptive test where aspirants are given questions to write an essay and Letter/Application to analyze the writing skills of the candidates.
