RBI is all set to conduct examination for Grade B officer at 150 Test center in almost all states of India. This exam is one of the important examinations amongst all banking examinations conducted every year. Grade B comprises 3 different grades of employees alternating General, DEPR & DSM's. Online Registration is going to start from 3rd July 2018 onwards.

Reserve Bank of India almost every year holds common recruitment examination for the post of Grade B officers. RBI Grade- is not same as the other bank exams. RBI exam conserves a virtuous level of difficulty and has a different procedure in phase-11 while comparing to other banking examinations. It is deliberated as one of the most respected jobs in India.

RBI Grade B- Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Educational Qualifications (as on 01-05-2018):

Educational QualificationOfficers in Grade 'B' (DR) - (General)A minimum of 60% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PWD) or an equivalent grade in Bachelor’s degree as well as in 12th (or Diploma or equivalent) and 10th Standard examinations.
Officers in Grade 'B' (DR) - DEPRA Master's Degree in Economics / Econometrics / Quantitative Economics / Mathematical Economics / Integrated Economics Course/ Finance, with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters /years from a recognized Indian or Foreign University /Institute.
Officers in Grade 'B' (DR) - DSIM
  1. A Master's Degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Mathematical Economics/ Econometrics/ Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Kharagpur/ Applied Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Bombay with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years; OR
  2. Master's Degree in Mathematics with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years and one-year postgraduate diploma in Statistics or related subjects from an institute of repute; OR

  3. M. Stat. The degree of Indian Statistical Institute with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate of all semesters/years OR

  4. Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) jointly offered by ISI Kolkata, IIT Kharagpur and IIM Calcutta with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years

Age:  A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on the 1st of May, 2017 i.e., he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd May, 1987 and not later than 1st May, 1996. For candidates possessing M.Phil.and Ph.D. qualification, the upper age limit will be 32 and 34 years respectively.

@ Fee/Intimation charges waiver is only for those employees of RBI (Staff Candidates) who satisfy the eligibility criteria separately stipulated by the Bank vide its circular CO. HRMD. No. G-75/ 5599/ 05.01.01/ 2013-2014 dated December 20, 2013. Their status as staff candidate will be verified at the time of interview. In case they are not eligible to be treated as staff candidates (in terms of above referred HRMD circular), they are advised to indicate themselves as non-staff candidates and pay fees/ intimation charges as applicable to non-staff candidates.

Interview Phase III:

Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview, centered on the aggregate of marks obtained in  Phase-II (Paper-I  +Paper-II  +Paper-III).   The interview will be of 50  marks. The candidate may opt for interview either in Hindi or English.  Final Selection will be through merit list which will be prepared by adding marks secured by candidates in Phase-II examination and interview.

 

 

RBI Grade B - Syllabus

RBI has released notification for 161  Grade B Officer a few days ago. RBI is bankers bank and thus it has a lot of variation in exam syllabus and pattern as compared to IBPS exams. 
It is advisable to know the latest exam pattern and syllabus of RBI Grade B Officers There is no such change expected this year, the exam pattern is expected to be the same for Prelims exam as that of last year. RBI Grade B Officer Interview (Phase III)

Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview on the basis of the aggregate of marks obtained in Phase-II (Paper-I  +Paper-II  +Paper-III).   The interview will be of 50 marks.Ca ndidates  may opt for interview in any of the two languages either Hindi or English.  The final selection will be through merit list which will be prepared by adding marks obtained by candidates in Phase-II examination and interview.

General Awareness Syllabus for RBI Grade B:

The level of General Awareness section expected to be easy to moderate. 

This is the only segment where candidates can score more and be able to be in the merit list. There are total 80 questions which will be asked in this section. The questions can be asked about different topics which are mentioned below-

(i) Current Affairs – National  & International News, Awards & Authors, Sports News, Summits & Conferences, Schemes, Agreement & Deals, Science & technology etc.

(ii) Banking & Financial + Economic News– Banking Terminology, Banking & Economic news, Monetary policies, Current rates, Financial & Economics News, Economics terms, etc.

(iii) Static GK – Static GK – Mountains Rivers, Ports , Parks, Dam, Thermal Power Plants, Temples, Stadiums, Airports, etc.

RBI Grade B Results 2018

RBI Grade B Phase-II online Examination will be held on July 7, 2018, for the candidates who are shortlisted on the basis of results of Phase-I. The Phase-II examination will be conducted in shifts. Candidates have to appear for all shifts. Separate Admission Letters will be issued for each shift. The timetable for Phase- Reserve Bank of India Services Board, Mumbai Advt. No. 5A/2016-17 Page 25 of 34 II will be informed to the candidates concerned along with Admission Letter for Phase-II. Phase–II online examination will consist of three papers under.
