State Bank of India has finally released the notification of SBI PO 2018 Exam. There are 2118 vacancies to be filled by SBI for Probationary officers. This notification has opened the doors for prestigious career option for graduates. SBI PO selection process comprises of three phases (Preliminary, Mains and Group Exercise/Interview). The candidates need to qualify all the three phases to ace the exam.
SBI PO Prelims Exam Pattern
The SBI PO preliminary examination will have the duration of one hour. It will be held online having three sections with 100 questions in total with a maximum score of 100 marks.
SBI PO Prelim Exam will follow negative marking with as much as 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. Aspirants have to clear the sectional cut-off limit to ace the exam and reach the next level or phase i.e SBI PO Main Exam.

SBI PO Mains exam comprises of 2 levels:
Objective Exam will be for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 50 marks. Both these tests will be conducted online. Aspirants have to answer Descriptive test by typing on Computer. Descriptive test will be conducted after completing the objective test.

The descriptive test will be held for a maximum duration of 30 minutes carrying 50 marks. It will be a written test of English Language where a candidate will be asked to write Essay and Letters. Aspirants must qualify Descriptive Test by scoring cut-off as decided by the bank authorities.
Candidates qualifying in both the tests i.e. Objective and Descriptive, merit list will be arranged in descending order of their aggregate marks. This list will be made category-wise with subsequent cut-off decided thereon.
The sufficient number of candidates in each category, as decided by the Bank will be called for Group Exercises and Interview. The cutoff or qualifying marks in Group Exercises &Interview will be as decided by the Bank.
Candidates under 'OBC' category need to submit OBC Certificate containing the 'Non Creamy layer' clause at the time of Group Exercise and Interview. In case they are not able to produce the same they will not be interviewed in General Category.

There will consist of two stages of examination in SBI CLERK 2018 as Phase I and Phase II.
Phase I Exam is a preliminary examination which will be held at online mode consisting 3 sections of one hour duration. The total marks for the test will be 100. SBI Clerk 2018 Exam will have a sectional time limit in which calls for a professional training and lot of practice before the exam.

Language Proficiency Test (LPT) – The candidates who will be provisionally chosen from the online examination needs to undertake language proficiency test (LPT). The language proficiency test will be conducted in the Official / Local Language of the State concerned. The candidate who will not be expert in the Official/Local Language would be disqualified
