SBI PO 2026 Exam Notification
The State Bank of India (SBI) is expected to release the SBI PO 2026 notification on its official website. The notification will announce the vacancies for the post of Probationary Officer (PO), offering an excellent career opportunity for graduates aspiring to join India's largest public sector bank. The SBI PO 2026 Main Examination is expected to consist of two parts: an Objective Test and a Descriptive Test.
- Objective Test: 200 marks
- Descriptive Test: 50 marks
Both tests are conducted online. The Descriptive Test is administered immediately after the Objective Test, and candidates are required to type their answers on the computer.
I. Objective Test:
The Objective Test is conducted for a total duration of 3 hours and consists of four sections carrying a maximum of 200 marks. The examination follows sectional timing, and candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks or cut-off prescribed by SBI to be shortlisted for the next stage of the selection process.

2. Descriptive Test:
The SBI PO 2026 Descriptive Test will be conducted for a duration of 30 minutes and carries 50 marks. The test is conducted online immediately after the Objective Test. Candidates are required to type their responses on the computer and will be assessed on their English language writing skills through questions based on Essay and Letter Writing. Candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks prescribed by SBI in the Descriptive Test to be considered for the subsequent stages of the selection process.
SBI PO Interview
Candidates who qualify the Main Examination (Objective and Descriptive Tests) will be shortlisted for the final phase of the selection process, which includes the Psychometric Test, Group Exercise, and Interview. The number of candidates shortlisted will be decided by SBI based on the category-wise cut-off marks.
The Group Exercise and Interview carry a combined weightage as prescribed in the official notification. Candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks decided by SBI at this stage.
Candidates belonging to the OBC category are required to produce a valid OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate at the time of document verification and the Interview process. Failure to submit the required certificate may result in their candidature being considered as per the applicable SBI guidelines.
Note: The final selection process and weightage for SBI PO 2026 will be confirmed in the official notification released by SBI.
